Notice of Intent to Sole Source Impella Perfusion Pumps Maintenance for NMC Portsmouth

The Naval Medical Center Portsmouth is issuing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Abiomed, Inc. for the maintenance of Impella Perfusion Pumps. The contract will consist of a base year and 4 option years, with the period of performance for the base year being from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The estimated value of the contract is $130,000. • The contract is for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Impella Perfusion Pump Maintenance. • The purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000. • Abiomed, Inc. is the only source available to provide Impella Perfusion Pump Maintenance. • Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
