Description
The City of Danville is seeking bids for the replacement of a damaged traffic signal pole at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Piedmont Drive. The project includes removing and replacing the damaged pole, reinstalling existing signal heads and equipment, and testing and aiming the signal heads and streetlight. The contractor must comply with Virginia Department of Transportation standards and specifications.
• The project requires the removal and replacement of a damaged traffic signal pole
• The existing signal mast arm, signal heads, detection camera, preemption equipment, streetlight arms, and fixtures will be reused
• The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and incidental items necessary to complete the installation and deliver a fully operational system
• The project must be completed within 240 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued
• The contractor must comply with the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual and the Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices
