Steel Refuse Dumpsters and Lids (Bid Discount)

The City of Tampa is seeking Steel refuse (front loading) dumpsters, lids, parts, and replacement bottoms. The bid includes a Bid Discount provision for City certified SLBEs. The City reserves the right to award this bid by division(s) or aggregate total, in whole or in part. The award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. The Bidder shall comply with the applicable requirements of Federal and state laws, all Codes and Ordinances of the City of Tampa as amended from time to time and any applicable professional regulations. Some key specifications for the dumpsters include: * Dumpsters shall be designed to permit complete discharge of the contents by using controls inside the vehicle without assistance while dumping. * Sides and Bottoms – All Dumpsters shall be twelve (12) gauge on all sides, and ten (10) gauge on all bottoms including the round bottoms. * The materials to be furnished shall be currently in production and shall be of the manufacturer’s standard or better quality. * The City shall not be required to purchase any minimum or maximum quantities during the term of any award resulting from this specification. * The award period shall be for a three (3) year period from the effective date of the award, and may be renewed at the same terms and conditions for one (1) additional two (2) year periods. Dumpsters Some key specifications for the lids include: * Lids shall be double wall construction. * Lids shall have a minimum of three (3) reinforced hinge points three inches (3") wide. * Color of plastic lids shall be black. * Lids shall be rotational molded from low density linear polyethylene. * The City may accept the product at a price discounted at 3.5% per day late, up to a maximum of 15 working days. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities shown without penalty. The City reserves the right to add to or delete any item from this bid or resulting award when deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Tampa.
