B-2 Engine Auxiliary Inlet Door (EAID) PBL

The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking information to develop a Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) strategy for the B-2 Engine Auxiliary Inlet Door (EAID). The goal is to improve supply chain efficiencies, material availability, and the supplier base for the B-2 EAID and its subcomponents. The USAF is looking for a 10-year long-term contract with a fixed price agreement, and the contractor will be responsible for providing complete material support, developing and maintaining an accurate Bill of Material (BOM), and providing OEM engineering, technical, and tooling support. The contractor will also be required to identify and develop new sources of manufacture and work with the USAF to ensure all parts are available upon demand. • The contract will have a single product support integrator and will be structured under a performance-based approach. • The contractor will be required to provide enhanced and preserved depot workforce, full transparency of AF demands and depot repair requirements, and update technical data procedures and specifications. • The contractor will also be required to improve demand planning and forecast collaboration, increase end-item availability and reliability, and increase the potential vendor base to alleviate DMSMS constraints. • The USAF is seeking feedback from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and other interested parties on the proposed PBL strategy.
