The United States Navy is seeking proposals for the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) Family of Systems (FoS) program. The MUSV will be a vessel with the ability to operate autonomously and carry containerized payloads. The proposal should include a proposed business model, vessel solution design, manufacturing readiness to support the future production of MUSV, and a plan for test execution to complete an on-water MUSV Test Event. The key requirements for the MUSV include a range of 2500 nm at 25 knots, payload capacity of two 40-foot equivalent units, autonomous performance, and emissions control. The proposal should also include a design overview, vessel characteristics, and a plan for test execution.
• The MUSV should meet or exceed the threshold requirements, including range, payload capacity, autonomous performance, and emissions control.
• The proposal should include a proposed business model, including pricing and terms and conditions for the delivery of MUSV capabilities.
• The proposal should include a vessel solution design, including a summary of the MUSV production design and the test vessel.
• The proposal should include a plan for manufacturing readiness to support the future production of MUSV, including workload, workforce, facilities, production, quality control, and supply chain and supplier management plan.
• The proposal should include a plan for test execution to complete an on-water MUSV Test Event, including a description of the test vessel, the earliest date for testing, and the location of testing.
