Description
The County of Maui, Department of Water Supply, is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivery of fire hydrants and related fittings for the Kahului Warehouse. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder based on the lowest total of materials using the unit price for each item. Bidders are required to comply with the newest procurement codes and any rules, regulations, and policy directives issued with respect to Chapter 103D of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.
• The bid includes the furnishing and delivery of fire hydrants, hydrant gaskets, and hydrant bolt sets.
• The delivery date of items shall be computed from the "official commencement date" as specified in the "Notice to Proceed" issued by DWS.
• The bidder shall provide a truck with forklift to deliver, off-load, and stack delivered material at the NASKA warehouse.
• The contract shall include liquidated damages of $100 per day for any delay beyond the specified completion date.
