Description
The Village of Oak Park is seeking a qualified contractor to fully renovate the interior of its South Fire Station #3. The work includes selective demolition, new concrete slab work, interior partitions, finishes, kitchen casework, restroom fixtures, upgraded HVAC (with an optional geothermal system), fire‑alarm and detection systems, data‑communications wiring, electrical distribution, and exterior site improvements such as new asphalt paving. The project must be completed by the end of 2026, with liquidated damages for late completion.
• Demolition of existing interior finishes, walls, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Installation of new concrete slab, wall/ceiling finishes, porcelain tile, epoxy flooring, and interior casework (plastic‑laminate or optional solid‑wood).
• Mechanical/Electrical upgrades: new rooftop HVAC unit (air‑source heat pump) with an optional geothermal alternate, full data‑communications (Cat 6A) cabling, and a Notifier fire‑alarm control system.
• Plumbing upgrades, new restroom fixtures, and fire‑suppression components, plus site work (new asphalt pavement, curb, and landscaping).
• Required deliverables include monthly progress payment applications, as‑built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and a minimum 12‑month warranty (3‑year warranty on some equipment).
