Description
The Illinois State Toll Highway Authority is seeking a vendor to provide five mechanical street sweepers. The sweepers must meet specific requirements, including a conventional cab and chassis, a diesel engine, and a hydraulic system. The vendor must also provide training and warranty for the sweepers. The contract has a warranty period of 2 years. Key features of the sweepers include:
• Main broom: 60” wide x 34 ½” diameter, hydraulically driven with rear deflector
• Gutter broom: 46-inch diameter, hydraulically driven
• Hopper: 4.5 cubic yards, constructed of steel
• Conveyor belt: with molded-in rubber cleats
• Sweeper water system: 300-gallon water tank, self-priming water pump
• Hydraulic system: engine-driven hydraulic pump, 23-gallon hydraulic oil reservoir
• Pneumatic system: PR4 type pressure protector, separate air tank with safety valve and drain lanyard
The vendor must also provide an operation and maintenance manual, parts manuals, and shop service and repair manuals.
