The United States Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources for a mobile, single-beam plasma coating removal system designed for corrosion mitigation on Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and Environmental Control Units (ECUs) used on vehicles and equipment. The system must comply with corrosion mitigation requirements and support corrective actions outlined in specific technical orders. The estimated quantity is 1-2 plasma corrosion mitigation systems, with an estimated delivery of 30 days after the date of contract.
