Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Training System Division (NAWCTSD) is issuing a Notice of Intent to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to execute a Sole Source award for the refurbishment and modification of a Fabricast 4500-4.252-100-120U/S-RevA 100-conductor rotary electrical slip ring. The scope of work includes the repair/rework of the existing slip ring body, mechanism, and electrical contacts as required to restore function, as well as reconfiguring the slip ring to pass 4 x CAT6A shielded cables, 26 x 20AWG hook up wires, and 34 x 16AWG hook up wires.
• The requirement is for the Rapid Design, Development, and Fabrication Lab (RD2F) to extend the component’s lifecycle and mitigate risks associated with aging infrastructure.
• The procurement is necessary to upgrade the training device to current performance and safety standards.
• The Government intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Fabricast Inc.
• Interested parties may provide a statement of their capability to meet this requirement by December 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST.
