Addendum 1 - Scale House and Entrance Improvements v1

The City of Salina is seeking a firm‑price contractor to design and construct a new scale‑house building, install inbound and outbound truck scales, and perform extensive site‑improvement work at its landfill entrance. The scope includes demolition of existing structures, earthwork, paving, storm‑water drainage, utility installation, fencing, lighting, and landscaping, with delegated design responsibilities for the scales and related infrastructure. The contract is a competitive bid with a substantial‑completion deadline of 31 December 2026. • Demolition, grading, and installation of ~200,000 SF of concrete pavement (8‑in. & 4‑in.). • Construction of a new scale‑house building with full M/E/P systems, plus two truck scales and associated foundations/approach slabs. • Storm‑water drainage upgrades, utility relocation (water, sewer, electrical, fiber conduit), and site‑wide improvements (fencing, gates, signage, landscaping). • Contractor responsible for delegated design of scale‑walkways, remote‑display poles, and related civil/structural elements.
