Description
The Township of St. Albans is seeking sealed‑bid contractors to fully resurface and repair Shackelford Road. The work includes full‑depth pavement replacement, milling, intermediate and surface asphalt overlays, tack‑coat application, driveway‑approach reconstruction, crack sealing, aggregate‑berm installation, traffic‑control measures, mobilization, and a credit for leaving spoil on‑site. All work must comply with Ohio DOT specifications, prevailing‑wage rules, and local environmental and safety requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder and is a lump‑sum, tax‑exempt agreement.
• Scope: 12‑in. full‑depth pavement replacement, milling, two asphalt overlays (ODOT Type 2 & Type 1), tack‑coat, driveway approaches, crack sealing, 4‑in. aggregate berm, MOT, and a deduct‑alternate for on‑site spoil.
• Schedule: Bids due July 14 2026 7 PM EDT; substantial completion Oct 30 2026; final completion Nov 13 2026.
• Requirements: Completed bid forms, non‑collusion affidavit, acknowledgment of all addenda, proof of insurance, prevailing‑wage compliance, and EEO certification.
