M4 Rifle and Parts (5.56x45mm NATO)

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking information from the firearms industry to provide M4/AR platform rifles and parts for duty and training use. The CBP intends to solicit an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to augment and replace existing rifles and supply parts to maintain its current inventory. The contract may be available to other federal government agencies for use. • The CBP is looking for companies that can provide M4/AR platform parts, including barrels, upper receivers, and other components. • The contract may include requirements for specialty coatings, ambidextrous magazine releases, and personal defense weapons. • Companies responding to the RFI should provide information on their experience, capabilities, and manufacturing processes. • The CBP is also interested in learning about companies' quality control and assurance processes, as well as their ability to meet the requirements set forth in the draft Statement of Work.
