Description
The Houghton Lake Community Schools is seeking a qualified contractor to repave the parking lots at Houghton Lake High School. The project involves repaving approximately 250,000 square feet of parking lot surface, including areas 1-5. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the project. The project timeline is anticipated to be from July 6th to August 31st, with working hours from 6am to 9pm. The contractor must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, adhere to ADA accessibility standards, and coordinate with school administration to minimize disruption.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Site preparation, including traffic control and site safety measures
• Base repair, including inspection and identification of failed areas and sub-base stabilization
• Asphalt installation, including installation of binder and/or surface courses and compaction to industry standards
• Pavement markings, including re-striping of parking stalls, ADA-compliant spaces, fire lanes, and directional markings
• Additional work, including adjustment/repair of manholes, valves, or catch basins and installation of curbing or edge restraints if required
