USSOCOM Small Cruise Missile (SCM)

The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is conducting market research for a Small Cruise Missile (SCM) that meets specific basic characteristics. The purpose of this market research is to determine if any other sources possess a solution with comparable or superior capability that could be delivered to the warfighter without incurring substantial duplication of cost or unacceptable delays. Interested parties are requested to submit a white paper that addresses their current capability, schedule and time to delivery, non-recurring engineering and cost, and justification for investment. The basic characteristics of the SCM include demonstrated ejection release from a SOF C-130 aircraft, a munition weight of not more than 225 lbs, and a system weight of not more than 350 lbs. The solution should be TRL 8 within 9 months and have a cost target of $300,000 per unit at a quantity of 1500. • The SCM should have a range of greater than 400 nautical miles and a subsonic cruise speed. • The solution should be integrated and tested with the Battle Management System (BMS) and be Weapons Data Link ready. • The seeker assembly should be a passive system with limited RF emissions. • The warhead/payload weight should be not more than 50 lbs.
