Addendum 1 - Scale House and Entrance Improvements v1

The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, then design and construct a new scale‑house building, two truck scales, and associated site improvements at the municipal solid‑waste landfill. The scope covers demolition, extensive earthwork, structural and MEP building construction, concrete pavement (4‑in. & 8‑in.), curbing, parking lot development, storm‑water drainage, fencing, gate, bollards, signage, lighting, and seeding/mulching. The contract must be substantially completed by 31 Dec 2026 with final completion by 3 May 2027, and includes liquidated damages for late performance. • Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, followed by new 1‑story scale‑house building (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing). • Installation of two truck scales with foundations, approach slabs, catwalks, and scale‑walkways (delegated‑design). • Full civil works: excavation, fill, grading, 4‑in. & 8‑in. concrete pavement (~200 k SF), curbs, parking lot, storm‑water drainage, rip‑rap, erosion‑control, fencing, remote‑operated gate, bollards, signage, and lighting. • Coordination of utility services, temporary facilities, traffic control, and site security; compliance with SWPPP and City safety standards.
