Description
The City of Alexandria is seeking suppliers to provide a stock of single‑phase pole‑mount distribution transformers (5 kVA‑250 kVA) for its electric distribution department. The transformers must meet a comprehensive set of ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, NEMA, and USDA‑RUS standards, include internal fault detectors, and be delivered on a “reasonable” schedule (12–20 weeks, preferably ≤ 8 weeks). The city will hold inventory for 12 months and award the contract to the lowest compliant bidder.
• Supply a range of transformer sizes (5 kVA to 250 kVA) in two voltage configurations (7200 V/12470 V primary‑/120‑240 V secondary and 7200 V/12470 V primary‑/240‑480 V secondary).
• Meet technical specs: mineral‑oil‑filled, self‑cooled, IFDs, specific impedance, bushings, pressure‑relief valve, bronze grounding connector, and required testing/reporting.
• Deliver within 12‑20 weeks of order receipt (preferred ≤ 8 weeks), with 24‑hour advance notice before each delivery to the city’s electric distribution warehouse.
