FLANGE

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, is seeking a contractor to manufacture flanges for use on Navy submarines. The flanges must meet specific material, physical, and mechanical requirements as specified in the procurement documentation. The contractor will be responsible for performing all inspection requirements and ensuring that the flanges are free from mercury contamination. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quotation, conforming to the solicitation, results in the best value to the Government, considering both price and non-price factors. Key aspects of the job include: • Design and manufacturing of flanges according to specified requirements • Inspection and testing of flanges to ensure compliance with requirements • Packaging and marking of flanges for delivery • Compliance with quality assurance and control requirements • Submission of certified mill certification, visual/dimensional inspection reports, and mercury exclusion certification • Approval of the quality inspection plan by NSWC Philadelphia Division prior to production
