PLA Survey - BGAD Small Arms Ammunition Magazine

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District is soliciting comments from the construction community on the potential use of a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) for a large-scale construction project at the Bluegrass Army Depot – Small Arms Ammunition Magazine. The project involves the construction of a 180,000 SF Ammunition Storehouse and a Munitions Surveillance Workshop, as well as supporting facilities. The facility will include various features such as loading docks, ramps, lightning protection system, fire protection and alarm systems, and cybersecurity measures. • The project is expected to exceed $35 million. • The facility will be designed to have a minimum life span of 40 years. • Sustainability and energy enhancement measures are included. • The construction community is invited to comment on the use of PLAs, including their experiences with PLAs in the local area, skilled labor shortages, time-sensitive issues, and cost impact.
