Description
The State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Airports Division, is soliciting bids for the repaving of Runway 8-26 at Kawaihapai (Dillingham) Field. The scope of work consists of pavement rehabilitation by milling and overlaying, and restriping of airfield markings in accordance with the plans and specifications. The estimated cost of construction is between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000.
• The project requires a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license.
• The project has a DBE goal of none specified.
• The project requires compliance with all applicable state and federal statutes, including the Federal Airport Improvement Program (AIP) contract provisions.
• The project has a liquidated damages clause, refer to Special Provisions Section 8.8.
• The project requires a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total amount bid.
• The project has a completion time of 180 calendar days from the date indicated in the Notice to Proceed.
