Description
The Cherokee Nation Cultural and Economic Development is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a full early‑demolition of the Cherokee Heritage Center facilities. The scope includes complete building demolition, utility removal, hazardous‑material (asbestos, lead, radon) abatement, archaeological protection, salvage of designated stone and structural elements, and site preparation for future construction. Bidders must comply with Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) requirements, provide insurance, bonding (if contract > $100k), and submit an electronic copy of the bid on a USB drive. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with the work scheduled to begin after a notice to proceed in late August 2026 and continue through January 2029.
• Full demolition of museum and amphitheater structures, including MEP make‑safe and utility capping.
• Hazardous‑material abatement (asbestos, lead, radon) and archaeological monitoring.
• Salvage of exterior concrete panels, stone, chair‑lift, channel letters, and landscape stone for reuse.
• Mandatory pre‑bid site walk‑through on July 27 2026; all bids sealed and submitted by August 6 2026, 2 PM CST.
