Traffic Signal Post Installations

The City of Independence, Missouri, is seeking bids from experienced traffic signal contractors for the installation of traffic signal posts at two locations: the Southeast Quadrant of the intersection of Lee’s Summit Rd and 35th Street, and the East Quadrant of the intersection of Little Blue Pkwy and Valley View Pkwy. The project requires constructing two concrete signal pole bases, providing manpower, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for construction and installation of traffic signal structures and concrete bases, including poles, mast arms, and signal heads. The work includes temporary traffic control, installation of city-provided equipment, and provision of concrete signal post bases. • The contractor must have a COI business license and proof of traffic signal work within the Kansas City metropolitan area within the past 2 years. • The contractor must submit their bid online through Public Purchase at www.publicpurchase.com by July 21, 2026, 2:00 p.m. • The project requires compliance with Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, Section 902 “Traffic Signals”. • The contractor must provide a one-year warranty from the date of completion and acceptance.
