CH-53K® Incorporation of Tail Fold Lock Actuator (TFLA)

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a Sole-Source Contract modification to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, for the procurement of Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) to redesign, qualify, productionize, and retrofit a new Tail Fold Lock Actuator (TFLA) into the CH-53K aircraft. The contract will be awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), due to Sikorsky being the only responsible source and the sole producer of the CH-53K aircraft. • The contract is for the redesign, qualification, production, and retrofit of a new Tail Fold Lock Actuator (TFLA) into the CH-53K aircraft. • The contract will be awarded to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, as the sole source. • The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. • Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis.
