Injection Molded Viton Seals for ECLSS SBAR System

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is seeking a specialized vendor to develop and provide injection molded Viton seals for the Sorbent-Based Atmospheric Revitalization (SBAR) system. The SBAR system is used to remove humidity and carbon dioxide from the air to enable habitation in low-pressure environments. The vendor must be capable of producing molds that conform to NASA-provided valve drawings and deliver injection molded Viton seals that meet specific requirements. The scope of work includes developing molds, injecting seals, and returning them to NASA for evaluation. • The vendor must be able to produce molds that meet the requirements in Drawing 1 and Drawing 2. • The injection molded seal must be permanently bonded to the valve body. • The injection molded seal must be a fully continuous seal in radial and axial directions. • A data sheet of the Viton formulation must be deemed acceptable.
