Job Order Contracting (JOC) Services - Paving

Dorchester County is seeking qualified firms to provide Job Order Contracting (JOC) services for paving trade projects at various locations throughout the county. The contract will be for a base term of one year with four optional renewal terms. The successful proposer will be required to provide a detailed scope of work, price proposal, and construction schedule for each project. The county reserves the right to award multiple contracts based on the capacity of each proposer. Some key points to consider: • The contract will be for paving trade projects, including repair and rehabilitation work, replacement in kind projects, site work, and minor new construction. • The successful proposer must be approved by the SCDOT to bid on their projects and provide their SCDOT Vendor Number/Code. • The contract will include a Construction Task Catalog containing prepriced tasks for construction work with preset unit prices. • The successful proposer will be required to propose two sets of adjustment factors to be applied to the unit prices. • The county intends to use the new contracts exclusively and firms with a current county job order contract need to respond to this RFP as no new job orders will be assigned to the old contracts once the new ones are awarded.
