Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking information from potential contractors for the fabrication of nickel aluminum bronze (NAB) canisters for the Virginia-Class propulsor manufacturing program. The contractor will be required to machine body tubes, top caps, bottom caps, and masses (piece-parts) in accordance with each delivery order. The contractor shall procure all materials needed to fabricate these items in compliance with applicable references. The contract is anticipated to be a five-year, single award Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract.
• The contractor shall perform engineering services in support of propulsor piece parts related design review and design change incorporation, drawing creation, or other engineering related tasking.
• The contractor shall maintain a Configuration Control Program to ensure all work complies with baseline documentation.
• The contractor shall establish and maintain a process for collecting and analyzing manufacturing and quality metrics.
• The contractor shall deliver piece parts in the quantities specified in each delivery order.
• The contractor shall provide partial shipments per the schedule in Table 1.
