The City of Salina is seeking a qualified general contractor to demolish an existing scale house, construct a new scale‑house building, install two truck scales, and complete extensive site improvements—including earthwork, paving, fencing, gate installation, lighting, and landscaping—at the municipal solid waste landfill facility. The work must be substantially completed by 31 December 2026 with final completion (including landscaping) by 3 May 2027. The contract includes requirements for performance and payment bonds, insurance, and liquidated‑damage provisions. • Demolition of existing scale house and truck scales, removal and proper disposal of debris. • New scale‑house building: architectural, structural, MEP systems, storm‑shelter hardware, and ADA‑compliant entrance. • Installation of two truck scales with foundations, approach slabs, and metal catwalks. • Site work: concrete pads, curbs, parking lots, rip‑rap splash pads, new fencing, a 30‑ft remote‑operated gate, bollards, signage, and seeding/mulching. • Comprehensive coordination of utilities, erosion‑control measures, and compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.
