The County of Ocean is soliciting a contractor to provide a set of heavy‑duty tungsten‑carbide inserts, bolts and nuts for a Morbark 1200‑Tub Grinder. The insert must be manufactured by Morbark or be of equal or greater quality, feature a 2½″ wide impregnated and hooked design, and meet specific hardness (32‑38 HRC) and material standards (virgin tungsten carbide mesh, no recycled material). Each set includes 24 inserts, 48 grade‑8 (or better) bolts, and 48 stover‑flange nuts. The contractor must ensure the inserts have a slotted back for secure mounting and that all fasteners are supplied. Compliance with the detailed technical specifications is mandatory. • Provide one set (24 inserts, 48 bolts, 48 nuts) meeting the exact Morbark specifications. • Inserts must be heat‑treated, robot‑welded, and use virgin tungsten carbide grit. • Bolts and nuts must be grade 8 or higher. • All components must be new, with no recycled carbide material. • Delivery to the County of Ocean as specified in the bid package.
