FACSLyric Flow Cytometry System

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is seeking to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) for the provision of a FACSLyric Flow Cytometry System. The system includes proprietary hardware, firmware, software, quality assurance materials, and factory-supported installation. The NCI has determined that BD is the only responsible source for this system, as it is the original manufacturer and exclusive source for the BD FACSLyric Flow Cytometer package. Some key features of the system include: • BD FACSLyric flow cytometer hardware • BD FACSuite software and associated licenses • Manufacturer-developed quality control and calibration procedures • Factory installation, instrument qualification, and user training • Manufacturer warranty, technical support, and software updates The NCI is seeking capability statements from other responsible sources, but the award is expected to be made to BD approximately five calendar days after the closing date of this notice.
