Ames Detector Check Valves

The City of Newport News is seeking bids from qualified firms to furnish Ames Detector Check Valves to the City's Waterworks Department on an 'as needed' basis. The contract will be for a term of one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. The City requires the Contractor to maintain adequate liability insurance and to comply with all federal and state statutory regulations. The Contractor must also provide a warranty for the goods/services furnished. • The contract requires the provision of Ames Detector Check Valves, specifically the Ames Series 1000DCV. • The City reserves the right to add Detector Check Valves within the scope of the contract as may be required to accommodate unanticipated regional/municipal changes, regulatory requirements, and/or industry standards. • The Contractor must deliver the goods within fifteen calendar days from the time of the order. • The City will issue a Blanket Purchase Order, and the Contractor shall provide goods or services on an as-requested basis from the user department.
