Navy F-5 / F-16 Helmet Mounted Integrated Targeting (HMIT) Equipment Repair

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the repair, technical, and training support services required for the Scorpion Helmet Mounted Integrated Targeting (HMIT) system. The contract will be awarded to Thales Defense & Security, INC (TDSI) for a period of performance of five years. The HMIT system is proprietary to TDSI, and PMA-226 has deemed it the only suitable option to fulfill the needs of the warfighter. Key aspects of the opportunity include: • The contract is for a sole source, with TDSI being the sole developer of the HMIT system. • The data rights and equipment required for this effort are proprietary to TDSI. • The contract provides corresponding OEM sustainment support for the HMIT system. • Interested parties may submit capability statements in writing to the Contract Specialist.
