3K SERIES RAILCAR PICK-UP AND DISPOSAL

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide pick-up, removal, and disposal services for the 3000 Series (3K) railcar vehicles. The contract will have a reimbursable component/scrap allowance for the empty weight of aluminum car body to be credited to the Authority for the scrap value of each disposed railcar. The contract is expected to last for one year. • The contractor will be responsible for picking up and disposing of the railcars. • The contract includes a reimbursable component for the scrap value of the railcars. • The contractor must submit their bid through the WMATA Supplier Portal. • The solicitation start date is 01/08/2026, and the submission deadline is 01/20/2026.
