Sources Sought Announcement (SSA) for Procurement of Spare Parts: AN/VAS-5B Driver's Vision Enhancer (DVE)

The U.S. Army is seeking sources capable of supplying spare parts for the AN/VAS-5B Driver's Vision Enhancer (DVE), a thermal imaging system used in various U.S. Army combat vehicles. The system includes a sensor module, pan tilt assembly, and display control module. The Army requires suppliers to meet specific performance and interface control requirements, including compliance with MIL-PRF-49256E and ICD A3325865 (REV C). Suppliers must also demonstrate experience with similar technologies and provide information on their engineering capabilities, test equipment experience, and obsolescence management approach. • The AN/VAS-5B DVE is a high-priority capability supporting vehicle operations in degraded visual environments. • Suppliers must meet Form, Fit, and Function (F3) requirements for the specified spare parts. • The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this Sources Sought Announcement and will not reimburse costs associated with responding. • Responses should be submitted in PDF format via email to the points of contact listed in the announcement.
