The U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Native American Affairs is inviting proposals for funding from Tribal Colleges and Universities, Tribal Serving Institutions, Community Colleges on or near Tribal Lands, and other Trade Schools on or near Tribal Lands. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to provide innovative hands-on, in-person manufacturing training and technical assistance through rapid reskilling of employees for 8(a) and HUBZone eligible small businesses. The funding will be provided under the Empower to Grow Program, formerly known as the 7(j) Management and Technical Assistance Program. • The funding opportunity is open to Tribal Colleges and Universities, Tribal Serving Institutions, Community Colleges on or near Tribal Lands, and other Trade Schools on or near Tribal Lands. • The applicants must have been in existence continually for at least the past three years. • The applicants must have experience providing hands-on, in-person technical assistance, tools, or training relating to manufacturing or skilled labor to small businesses on a regional or national basis. • The applicants must demonstrate that they have the capacity to provide manufacturing-related training and technical assistance to small business concerns.
