REMINGTON ARMS SITE REDEVELOPMENT

The City of Bridgeport is seeking proposals from qualified developers for the acquisition and redevelopment of the former Remington Arms Munitions Factory site, which includes 812 and 889 Barnum Avenue, as well as the Remington Shot Tower. The city is looking for dynamic, commercial, recreational, and/or clean industrial redevelopment that will provide high-quality jobs, maximize the site's historic and economic value, and enhance the East Side neighborhood. Respondents can propose to acquire and develop any single site or a combination of sites. The city is open to various transaction structures, including an outright sale or a long-term ground lease agreement. • The site includes 812 and 889 Barnum Avenue, as well as the Remington Shot Tower. • The city is looking for redevelopment proposals that align with the City's zoning regulations and support the goals of the City's Plan of Conservation and Development. • Respondents must provide evidence of their financial capacity to undertake the project and their administrative capacity to complete the project. • The city is looking for a long-term development project that will provide economic benefits to the city and the community.
