Description

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is conducting environmental analyses, engineering studies, and related activities to support the Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study: Tier 2 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) (Tier 2 Study). The MDTA is evaluating mitigation opportunities to offset impacts to wetlands and waterways, including non-tidal and tidal systems. The MDTA is seeking information on mitigation bank credit availability on or about calendar year 2030 that would satisfy permitting requirements. • The MDTA is seeking information from vendors that have expertise and demonstrated experience in mitigation bank solutions that address needs across various wetland and waterway environments. • The MDTA anticipates the approximate wetland and waterway impacts and mitigation requirements as described in Attachment 1. • The MDTA is seeking information from the industry on several questions, including relevant qualifications and experience, existing banks, opportunities to create additional bank credits, and potential procurement options for mitigation.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a clear indication of the contract value. However, based on the scope of the project and the requirements for mitigation bank solutions, we can make an educated estimate. The MDTA is seeking information on mitigation bank credit availability on or about calendar year 2030, which suggests a long-term contract. The estimated budget could be in the range of $500,000 to $5,000,000, depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of vendors participating, the level of competition, and the MDTA's budget for the project.
