Sewer Interceptor Cleaning

The Frederick County Division of Water and Sewer Utilities is seeking proposals to provide poly pig pipe cleaning procedures to safely and effectively clean and restore to maximum flow capacity, low-pressure sewer piping systems. The contractor will be responsible for providing all supervision, labor, tools, transportation, material, and equipment necessary to clean the low-pressure sewer pipelines using poly pigs and an approved poly pig procedure. The contract includes the installation of equipment, disassembly, and cleanup. • The contractor will utilize the county-provided poly pig launching and retrieval devices. • The contractor will furnish poly pig swabs and poly pigs. • No excavations should be required for normal pigging operations. • The county will be responsible for excavation, repairs, and restoration if a failure occurs on the subject line, which is not the fault of the contractor.
