The Community Technical Assistance Program (CTAP) is creating a pool of on-call vendors with experience and expertise in land use, public infrastructure, transportation, and safety. The selected vendors will provide direct assistance regarding land use planning, regulations, and statutory requirements, as well as perform onsite trainings and workshops. They will also develop or update growth policies, zoning regulations, subdivision regulations, and housing needs assessments and plans. The vendors will integrate economic development and land use plans, and provide other land use planning needs. The contract is worth an estimated $1.5 million to $2.5 million over a period of 2-5 years, although the exact value is not specified. The contract is expected to start in 2024 and end in 2026 or later, depending on the specific services provided and the needs of the State of Montana.
