Buckhorn Slashing

The contract is for the Buckhorn Slashing project, which requires the slashing of trees less than 5 inches in diameter at breast height across 7 units totaling 530.6 acres. The contract was awarded to LG Forestry Inc. • The project requires the use of a chain saw and/or brush cutter to slash all trees, live or dead, less than a 5” diameter at breast height (DBH) across 7 units totaling 530.6 acres. • 118.5 acres require hand piling and covering piles. • The contract includes several attachments, including a vicinity map, contract maps, and specifications. • The contract has a term of approximately 11 months. • The contract was awarded through an Invitation for Bid (IFB) process. • The contract includes provisions for forest fire rules and regulations, working in bear habitat, and food storage orders.
