151st and Mahaffie Street Turn Lane Addition

The contract is for the construction of the 151st and Mahaffie Street Turn Lane Addition in Olathe, Kansas. The work consists of the following: 400 L.F. of turn lane addition with demolition and removal of existing curbs and pavement, storm sewer modifications, traffic signal modifications, and all other related work and appurtenances necessary to complete the project. The contract was awarded to Gunter Construction Company for an amount of $149,023.25. Some of the key items included in the project are: • Clearing and Grubbing • Excavation and Grading • Curb and Gutter Removal and Disposal • Install 2" Superpave Asphaltic Concrete • Install 8" Superpave Asphaltic Concrete Base • Install 10" Concrete Pavement • Install Type B Concrete Curb & Gutter • Install 4" Concrete Sidewalk (5' width)
