Description
This contract is for the design‑build and construction of new concrete sidewalks throughout the Four Rivers Sanitation Authority service area for fiscal year 2027. The work includes aggregate base preparation, 6‑inch and 8‑inch Portland cement concrete approach pavements, 4‑inch (≤ 100 sf) and 6‑inch (> 100 sf) sidewalks, concrete steps, and replacement of curb‑and‑gutter type M6.18. All work must be completed within tight post‑notification deadlines (3 business days for ≤ 100 sf sidewalks, 7 business days for larger sidewalks) with liquidated damages of $300 per day for delays. The contract requires a 10 % bid bond, a 100 % performance bond, and extensive insurance coverage (minimum $1 M general liability, $1 M auto, workers’ comp, $2 M umbrella, $1 M E&O). Prevailing‑wage compliance, ADA compliance, and various Illinois statutes (Steel Products, Employment of Illinois Workers, etc.) apply. The awardee, DPI Construction Inc., will be responsible for electronic record‑keeping, regular reporting, and warranty guarantees (2 years for most work, 3 years for trench settlement).
