Intent to Sole Source Teflon Collars

The U.S. Navy issued a sole‑source notice to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the refurbishment of Nose Landing Gear (NLG) steering collars on F/A‑18 aircraft. Kamatics Corporation, the OEM of the proprietary KAron Teflon‑based liner, will apply, machine, and certify the liner on each steering collar, provide compliance certificates (CDRL A001) and field‑service reports (CDRL A002), and ship the restored components back to Fleet Readiness Center Southwest. The BPA is structured as an indefinite‑delivery, indefinite‑quantity (IDIQ) contract with a 12‑month base period and up to nine additional 12‑month option periods, allowing the Navy to place task orders as needed without a minimum quantity. The work requires an approved NAVAIR/Boeing supplier, aerospace‑grade machining capabilities, and compliance with CMMC Level 1 cybersecurity requirements.
