2025 Chip Seal

The City of Rexburg is contracting the application of chip seal to approximately 77,000 square yards of roadway. The work includes supplying and placing cover‑coat material, reject material, water for dust abatement, rolling and compaction per Idaho Transportation Department standards, traffic‑control planning, and final site cleanup. The contract requires a 5 % bid bond, 100 % performance and payment bonds, and insurance coverage of at least $1 M per occurrence (combined general liability) and $3 M automobile liability. The construction window is a tight 30‑day period from late July to late August 2025, with liquidated damages of $500 per day for delays.
