20-5034 Goodyear PD and the Ring Neighborhood MOU

The City of Goodyear Police Department has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Ring, LLC to use the Neighbors Portal and the Neighbors app to communicate with users and encourage community engagement. The contract started on January 17, 2019, and will continue until terminated by either party. The key aspects of the contract include: * The City of Goodyear Police Department will have access to the Neighbors Portal to assist in law enforcement operations and investigations. * The department will post information relating to critical incidents and other incidents in the app to keep users informed. * Ring, LLC will make the Neighbors App available to City residents free of charge and provide ongoing support and training for department employees. * The parties will agree to a joint press release to announce the department's participation in the program. * Either party may terminate the contract with 30 days' written notice. The contract does not involve any compensation between the parties.
