The Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) is seeking bids for the installation of a comprehensive perimeter defense system at their Administrative Building. The project aims to create a robust, aesthetically professional, and technologically integrated physical barrier that provides deterrence, delay, operational continuity, access management, and asset protection. The selected vendor will be responsible for installing fencing infrastructure, custom gates, access control hardware, and integrating the system with the existing electronic access control platform. • The project requires the installation of approximately 6-foot high black aluminum industrial-grade fencing around the designated property perimeter. • The vendor must design and install four custom-built gates tailored to provide secure vehicular access to the employee parking lots. • The vendor must supply and install two new high-cycle barrier arms and a commercial-grade card reader pedestal at the primary drive-through entrance. • The vendor must ensure that all automated gates, barrier arms, and readers are fully compatible and integrated with the existing Lenel OnGuard access control platform. • The vendor must complete the project within six weeks from the date of commencement and ensure that all work is completed, tested, and commissioned by July 31, 2026.
