Parking Lot A Paving Project

This public bid calls for the complete reconstruction of Parking Lot A at the Merced County Fairgrounds Resiliency Center. The scope includes: • Saw‑cutting, grinding, demolishing, and legally disposing of existing asphalt and concrete. • Excavation, grading, and compaction to established parking‑lot grades, including a low‑point drainage design. • Construction of a 50 ft × 204 ft × 2 ft retention/infiltration basin with associated drainage improvements. • Installation of aggregate base and asphalt concrete pavement per engineered specifications, with a finished surface set 0.20 ft below the building floor to reduce back‑flooding. • Installation of concrete curbs, parking blocks, headers, and other pavement‑edge features. • Relocation/adjustment of existing sanitary sewer manholes, utility boxes, and valves to new grades, while protecting all existing utilities and site structures. • Removal of existing speed bumps, new striping, markings, and related parking improvements. • Erosion and sediment control, including storm‑water measures throughout construction. • Full site staking, monument protection, restoration, cleanup, and all incidental work required for project completion.
