The opportunity is for a sole source contract to provide composite aircraft manufacturing technology assessment and commercial production modeling SME support to the HiCAM Project Leadership Team. The contractor will need to have knowledge of composite aircraft wing and fuselage structures and high-rate manufacturing and assembly processes. They will also need to have experience performing composite manufacturing trade studies and running Simulia discrete event simulations. The contractor will provide recurring briefings to the HiCAM Project Leadership Team, review and update HiCAM Activity-Level Models, and collaborate with HiCAM TAP CRT members. The key aspects of the job include: • Providing SME support to the HiCAM Project Leadership Team • Representing NASA as a Task Lead or key contributor in ACC work activities • Performing composite manufacturing trade studies • Running Simulia discrete event simulations • Collaborating with HiCAM TAP CRT members • Providing written KPP and TRL/MRL assessment guidance • Reviewing and updating HiCAM wing and fuselage assembly baseline models The opportunity requires a deep understanding of composite aircraft manufacturing and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with NASA and other ACC partners.
