Description
The Department of the Navy (DON) is seeking information from qualified vendors to inform the development of a statement of work, baseline schedule, and cost estimate for the complete demolition and site clearance of Facility A-639, a 21,665 SF three-story masonry constructed Navy Gateway Inn and Suites (NGIS) building located at Naval Air Station (NAS) Key West, Florida. The purpose of this RFI is to gather market intelligence on current demolition costs, logistical approaches to island-based waste disposal, hazardous material abatement strategies, and industry best practices.
The key aspects of the project include:
• Demolition of the facility, including hazardous material abatement and disposal
• Removal of demolition debris from the island
• Compliance with environmental regulations and military installation security requirements
• Provision of a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for the project
• Information on the company's experience with similar projects, particularly in coastal or island environments
• Description of the company's approach to waste disposal logistics, hazardous materials handling, and project scheduling.
