Description
The project modernizes a county drainage ditch by converting the existing 4‑6 ft channel into a two‑stage system with benches, improving flood control, water quality, and stream health. It requires extensive earthwork, removal and replacement of existing pipe, installation of new conduits, erosion‑control measures, native‑seed landscaping, and coordination with multiple utilities.
• Scope includes clearing/grubbing, excavation, embankment construction, placement of erosion‑control mats (Type B & F), rock‑channel protection, topsoil handling, and installation of various conduit sizes (4‑30 in.) with associated manholes and inlet structures.
• Must comply with Ohio prevailing‑wage requirements, ODOT specifications, USACE Nationwide Permit 27, and seasonal environmental protections (tree removal limited to Oct 1 – Mar 31).
• Bidders must submit a 100 % bid bond (or ≥ 10 % certified check), meet pre‑qualification under the Lucas County Responsible Contractor Policy, and provide required compliance affidavits, non‑collusion statements, and labor‑hour certifications.
