TOWNSHIP PLANNER

The Township of Toms River is seeking proposals for consulting professional planning services. The awarded firm shall have high knowledge in Affordable Housing (COAH) and Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). The scope of work includes providing planning services to the Township, including preparation of comprehensive plans, development of ordinances, redevelopment plans, and review of various applications. The contract period shall be for 12 consecutive months. The method of award shall be based on the vendor(s) considered most advantageous to the Township. • Minimum qualifications include an active Licensed New Jersey Planner, minimum 10 years' experience providing planning services to municipalities in New Jersey, and expertise in the preparation of comprehensive plans, development of ordinances, redevelopment plans, and the review of various applications. • The awarded firm shall have knowledge and experience with New Jersey Municipal Land Use Laws, Master Plan Updates, drafting and amending Land Use Ordinances, Council on Affordable Housing (COAH), Plan Review, and Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). • The contract shall commence on the date of award and shall be for a period of 12 consecutive months. • The Township will be held liable for an uncollected escrow accounts to professionals.
